SV	Want Menahem, de zoon van Gadi, toog op van Thirza, en kwam te Samaria, en sloeg Sallum, den zoon van Jabes, te Samaria, en doodde hem, en werd koning in zijn plaats.
WLC	וַיַּעַל֩ מְנַחֵ֨ם בֶּן־גָּדִ֜י מִתִּרְצָ֗ה וַיָּבֹא֙ שֹׁמְרֹ֔ון וַיַּ֛ךְ אֶת־שַׁלּ֥וּם בֶּן־יָבֵ֖ישׁ בְּשֹׁמְרֹ֑ון וַיְמִיתֵ֖הוּ וַיִּמְלֹ֥ךְ תַּחְתָּֽיו׃
Trans.	wayy^a‘al mən^aḥēm ben-gāḏî mitirəṣâ wayyāḇō’ šōmərwōn wayyaḵə ’eṯ-šallûm ben-yāḇêš bəšōmərwōn wayəmîṯēhû wayyiməlōḵə t^aḥətāyw:

AC	יד ויעל מנחם בן גדי מתרצה ויבא שמרון ויך את שלום בן יביש בשמרון וימיתהו וימלך תחתיו
ASV	And Menahem the son of Gadi went up from Tirzah, and came to Samaria, and smote Shallum the son of Jabesh in Samaria, and slew him, and reigned in his stead.
BE	Then Menahem, the son of Gadi, went up from Tirzah and came to Samaria, and attacking Shallum, son of Jabesh, in Samaria, put him to death and made himself king in his place.
Darby	And Menahem the son of Gadi went up from Tirzah, and came to Samaria, and smote Shallum the son of Jabesh in Samaria, and slew him, and reigned in his stead.
